Age of Coretouched

"Victory!... Victory!??! There is no victory in this slaughter, you shallow bastards. What... what have you acomplished?" the palidan barked, tossing his bloody sword to the ground. "Now, you are going to force your will on the defeated? Start with me," and grins. ~ Occurred in the North in the Age of Coretouched.

Age of Truth

The masters of the heavens sealed the gates to their realm and erased them from time.
Eons glide by, like a whisper… until the Time of Truth. Fear trembles thru the spines of all the Gods…but one, SranDorh, "The forever touched," the true protector of Corron ~ Age of Truth

The Age of Coretouched 2 (Divided they became… but, some sympathized with the Untouched. Was it enough?)

During the rise of the powerful and unpredictable Coretouched beings, the others of Corron… suffered greatly. Wars raged over each continent -- elven realms, dwarven tunnels, human kingdoms and many more races -- crumbled and were also lifted to unthinkable power through the insidious control of the flow.

The Coretouched fused their life essence with the flow that pulsed from the planet's core. Within that pulse was the raw energy needed to grant them supreme manipulation capabilities over the planet's radiation. Corronites not affected by the flow could still manipulate the energy with proficient power, but ultimately could not compete against the rise of the Coretouched with the flow at their command.

The flow fused within a Coretouched seeks to consume the soul of its host and return to its source within the core of the planet.  Some of the touched can resist the flow's continual assault and keep it at bay. These Coretouched, the ones who refuse the merger of magic to wield untold power, threaten Corron and its future.

 Many of the touched became vile and twisted, consumed with the inner battle of forcing the flow back to the edges of their consciences. Their minds became scarred with the effort -- Corron's evil at its height. Those untouched were forced to flee and hide or become slaves to the flow and its masters. 

Some of the touched resisted the flow and stand as the light in a world plunged into darkness. The fate of all on Corron rest in their hands...

The Age of Coretouched (The Rise of Gods)

The Coretouched are beings connected with the flow. The flow (magic) from the planet's core fuses itself to the soul or life force of any being -- human, demon, dragon, or even a tiny flower. Where life is… the flow thrives. Some say the planet itself is actually alive -- some kind of higher being. Others say it is just raw power with no limits.

During the Coretouched age, many were afflicted, resulting in a altered world that became dangerous. Magic was used freely in all ways of life, including the control of others. The uncontrolled raw magic consumed many lives, turning them dark and twisted, although many valiantly resisted the flow's pull to evil. Corron became the battlefield for the Coretouched, which reshaped the landscape, scattered kingdoms, changed power structures and rearranged evolution. During this age the flow was omnipotent… all power. Thousands of years passed in turbulent chaos…until the planet's inhabitants reached the ashes of compromise. As the Corespirits aimed for celestial heights, the Gods arose to claim their heavens…
